When we
sleep said teacher “every part of our body is completely at rest ‘
“not with my
uncle” said golu
‘How so?’
asked teacher
When my
uncle sleeps his mind and eyes are resting ‘admitted golu’
‘But his
nose and mouth are working over time ‘
The teacher
was trying to impress upon her class the advantage of peace and disarmament.
“how many of you object to war ?’ she asked
Up went
several hands ,”Golu tell us why you object to war’
Golu replied
soberly “Because wars make history “
It is rather
widely known that Mark Twain was some what profane at times .On the other hand
his wife was quite refined .She devised
a scheme which she thought might change his habits .She met him at string of oaths .Mark was momentarily stunned
but Quickly recovered and saw
What shall
you give to one small boy?
A glamorous
game, a tinseled toy , A puzzle pack A train that runs on curving track? A
picture book, a real live pet, no there’s plenty of time for such things yet, give
him a Day for his very own .just one small boy and his dad alone .a walk in the
woods ,a ramp in the park A fishing trip from dawn to dark .Give the gift that
only you can The companionship of his old man .Games are out grown and toy
decay
But he’ll never forget if you give him a Day.
But he’ll never forget if you give him a Day.
Many a child
has grown up to be fairly level headed because his parents could not find the guidance
book they were looking for.
If children
never ask questions they would never learn how little adults know.
A picture window
will bring the outdoors into a living room, but a little boy’s two little feet
will bring the more of it .
